Teens arrested for possession of suspected air pistol

Police in Regional Division #3 have arrested two males, ages 19 and 17, after a suspected air pistol was found during a police operation at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.

At approximately 17:30 hrs on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, ranks from the Tuschen Police Station acted on information received, proceeded to Sheriff Street, Tuschen.

Upon arrival, the ranks observed the two males acting in a suspicious manner in front of a warehouse. Searches were conducted, during which a black and silver air pistol was reportedly found on the 17-year-old.

The ranks also observed a red and black motorcycle bearing registration number JCA 4 at the location.

Both males were arrested and escorted to the Tuschen Police Station, along with the motorcycle and suspected air pistol.

They remain in police custody as investigations continue.
