[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have averted what is suspected to be an attempt to rob the Rubis Gas station at Mc Doom, East Bank Demerara.
According to police at about 10:30hrs on Thursday (March 6), ranks were alerted about four men along with a parked motor car and motor cycle in the vicinity the Gas Station.
The police responded and upon arrival the motor vehicles with the four men sped away. The police gave chase and subsequently caught up with the motor vehicles and the men.
They have been arrested and an unlicensed 9mm. pistol with six rounds recovered. The motor vehicles have been detained. Investigations are in progress.
