A house at Lot 608 16th Street, Foulis, East Coast Demerara, was completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday.
According to the Guyana Fire Service, firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening two nearby structures.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze before it spread further. However, the house and all of its contents were completely destroyed.
The two other houses sustained minor damage. The fire service said that it has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
