A 49-year-old man met his demise yesterday after falling from a breadfruit tree.
He was identified as Percy Harris of South Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Prior to his death, Harries was employed as a handyman at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
INews understands that the man was in the process of climbing the breadfruit tree located in the Ministry’s compound to pick a breadfruit; however, the limb he was standing on gave away.
The incident occurred around 11:00h.
Co-workers subsequently discovered his lifeless body in a pool of blood beneath the tree.
