About 1800h. yesterday, Sunday May 29, 2016, miner Ramal Williams, of 58 Miles, Mabura Road, was working in a mining pit at Konawaruk Backdam, Potaro, when it caved in and he was trapped beneath, according to a police statement.
Williams, 18, was later taken out and conveyed to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are in progress.
