Relatives protest for release of four police officers on remand

RoyanRelatives of the four policemen who were remanded to prison on Friday, August 2 are currently protesting in front of the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

The policemen were sent to jail by Magistrate Judy Latchman, following accusations that they assaulted a businessman who committed a traffic offense.

The police officers pleaded not guilty to the charges.
