Policewoman charged for stealing Samsung Galaxy

A policewoman on Thursday appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to a charge of theft.
Yonnette Jupiter, 35, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Commissioner of Police’s Office, Eve Leary, Georgetown, she stole one Samsung Galaxy S4 valued $129,000, one 32 gigabyte memory card and a GTT Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card valued $3000, property of Royston McPherson.
The unrepresented defendant told the court that she has a small daughter hence she is pleading for bail.
She was placed on $75,000 bail and will have to return to Court on August 19.
