According to a resident of Ideal Road, Soesdyke Linden Highway on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) she along with Maline, Sue Ann and Maline’s children went to one of the creeks along the Linden Highway, after which they left for Soesdyke Junction. While at the junction, Parmanand Ramdehol drove up on his motorcycle cycle (registration number unknown) and stopped; and they decided to go home. She went on to say that while at Malinie LaCruz’s home again, she saw Parmanand Ramdehol drove up on his motorcycle and went into the house; at that time, the abovementioned persons were inside the house. She claimed she heard Ramdehol and Malinie arguing, followed by several loud explosions that sounded like gunshots; and she and the children ran from the house.
The police from Timehri were summoned and at the scene ranks retrieved a 9mm APX Baretta pistol with serial number A007242X along with five live rounds in the magazine and one in the breach from next to Ramdehol who was lying next to the front door, inside the sitting area with a small uncorked bottle emitting a noxious smell. (It is not known at this time whether Ramdehol was licensed to carry a firearm).
Seon LaCruz and Ramdehol were escorted to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where they were examined by a doctor on duty who pronounced Ramdehol dead. Seon LaCruz was later transferred to the GPHC for emergency surgery. His condition is regarded as critical.
The scene was processed, and seven 9mm spent shells, two warheads, and four pieces of metal fragments were recovered. The firearm, ammunition, spent shells, and metal fragments were packaged, marked, and lodged at the Timehri Police station.
Malinie, Waveney, and SueAnn LaCruz were also escorted to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where they were pronounced dead. The bodies were later escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting post-mortem examination.
The scene is presently cordoned and under police guard.
Investigations are ongoing.
