Guyanese man nabbed at Antigua Airport; passes out 98 cocaine pellets

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Guyanese man was busted at the V.C. Bird International Airport at the weekend with some two pounds of cocaine he ingested.

Twenty – year – old Chanrdadav Lakhan of Guyana was nabbed at the airport on Friday, December 05 with two pounds of cocaine, after he arrived in Antigua aboard the Caribbean Airline Flight #428 from Georgetown, Guyana.

Lakhan was suspected of swallowing, after he was pulled over by officers from the Narcotics Department, during their profiling.

He was taken to the Mount St. Johns Medical Center; where an X-ray confirmed that he had ingested a number of pellets with the Controlled Drugs.

While at the hospital, the accused passed out 98 pellets weighing a total of two lbs.

He was charged with the Possession of Cocaine; Possession with intent to supply; Being concern in the supplying of Cocaine and Importation. [Extracted and modified from Antigua Chronicle]
