After journeying on both sides, Geeta Chandan Edmond, a former APNU/AFC Member of Parliament, says that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) is the only party that can take Guyana forward.
“I’m back at home proudly,” she declared at a massive PPP/C rally being held at Albion in Region Six.
Chandan Edmond had previously served as General Secretary of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) – the largest party in the A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) Coalition.
The Albion native says the PPP’s bold and visionary leadership has demonstrated its ability to not only make promises but deliver on them. She urged citizens to vote for the PPP/C to continue the unprecedented development that not only the country but the region has been experiencing for the past five years.
“Don’t gamble your future… don’t gamble Guyana’s future…. Vote for the only party that has delivered and that is PPP/C,” Chandan-Edmond declared.
Only last month, Chandan-Edmond broke ranks with the PNC-led APNU and threw her support behind President Dr Irfaan Ali for a second term in office. She is one of the dozens of young Candidates on the PPP/C list heading into the September 1 General and Regional Elections.
