Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 77-year-old man whose body was found floating in the Demerara River nearing a dock at Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The man, who has been identified as “Somar”, was last seen alive on Tuesday.
Police are presently at the scene as preparations are ongoing to have body fished out of the water.
