[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 16:40h yesterday Saturday January 4 on the main road at No. 53 Village, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Andre Phillips, 43 years, of No. 77 Village, Corentyne.
Investigations have revealed that the driver of a mini-bus was reversing the vehicle when he struck down the pedestrian. Phillips was taken to the Springlands Hospital where he succumbed while receiving treatment.
The driver of the mini-bus is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
