According to the US Embassy in Guyana, in his remarks, Ambassador Holloway said he “looked forward to continuing collaboration between the U.S. and CARICOM as we strive towards our shared goal of a democratic, secure and prosperous Caribbean and Western Hemisphere.”
The Embassy noted that Ambassador Holloway presented the Secretary General with a gift book of the beautiful national parks in the U.S.
The new US Ambassador took up office in Guyana in late September and has since promised to assist the government in the holding of local government elections and to combat transnational organized crimes.
