6-Y-O Chinese boy chopped to death during suspected robbery

A six-year-old Chinese national was on Wednesday chopped to death during a suspected robbery at Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).

The dead child has been identified as Ifeng Cao. Preliminary investigations revealed that at about 15:45h, the child was reportedly chopped to his neck by a male Chinese national.

The injured child was rushed to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, West Coast Demerara (WCD), where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was subsequently arrested and is presently in police custody. Investigations are ongoing.
