[www.inewsguyana.com] – The second edition of the Slingerz Football club stag West Side Mashramani knockout tournament will bring together 8 teams in the West Demerara region.
The tournament, which gets underway on February 16, will be launched on January 31 and is sanctioned by the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA).
Defending champions, Slingerz FC will face seven other teams in their bid to show that they are the best of the west. The competition will also serve as an anniversary for the club.
The winners will pocket $500,000; second place, $300,000; third, $200,000; and fourth place, $100,000.
The proposed playing dates are February 16, 21 and 24, with the finals on March 1. Venues and other logistics in relation to the competition will be disclosed at the launch.
