Security Guard remanded for possession of marijuana

The court heard that on November 19, 2015 at 8^th Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, he had in his possession 154 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

He was unrepresented and pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecution objected to bail, pointing out that no special reasons were stated by the accused for bail not to be granted.

As such, he was remanded to prison and will make his next court appearance on December 14.
