Pork Knocker charged for stealing clothes

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 31- year – old Pork Knocker accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ in men’s clothing was granted $50,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday, January 28.

Derrick Watson of Lot 197 Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on January 25 at Aranka Landing, Cuyuni he stole four jerseys valued $20,000 and two pairs of pants valued $20,000. The pieces of clothing belonged to Akeem Joseph.

The 31-year-old was unrepresented by legal counsel. Police Prosecutor Simone Payne did not object to bail, thus it was granted. Watson will make his second appearance before the Chief Magistrate on February 02.
