Police ‘C’ Division Commander, Marlon Chapman, has confirmed that one male is in custody in connection with the cold-blooded murder of a Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara resident, this morning.
Reports indicate that approximately 06:00hrs today, 56-year-old Bibi Ally was found tied up and gagged in her lot 6 Novar, Mahaicony, ECD, home.
She was reportedly discovered by her nephew who immediately alerted the police.
The woman’s home was ransacked, however it is unclear whether it was a robbery gone wrong.
Investigations are ongoing.
