[www.inewsguyana.com] – Gunmen pounced on the YMCA Sports Bar located at Thomas Lands on Friday night and robbed some nine persons. iNews was informed that two men, who were drinking at the very night spot executed the robbery.
Two state media workers from the Guyana Chronicle Newspaper were also among the patrons robbed. The gunmen relieved the victims of US and local currency along with their cellular phones and gold jewellery.
Information reaching iNews state that some of the victims can identify at least one of the gunmen. [Leroy Smith]
