Despite growing up in poverty, Ranjeev Singh was able to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a doctor after being given the opportunity by the governing People’s Progressive Party/Civic Administration.
“When I was writing CXC, I dreamt of becoming a medical doctor, but I know I was only supposed to dream because of poverty. Today, because of a People’s Progressive Party/Civic Government, I was given the scholarship,” he said at a PPP/C rally in Anna Regina today, Essequibo Coast.
Singh, who is currently the Regional Health Officer (RHO) for Region Two, says, “I am now not living in a dream, but it has become a reality because of a People’s Progressive Party Government.”
According to the RHO, Guyanese want to see progress and continuity of the development that has occurred over the past five years. To this end, he urged that they vote the PPP/C back into office.
“Today, I know everyone of you here will do that, and tell those who could not have been here, to come on Sept 1 and let us all vote for the People’s Progressive Party Civic…so that we can move forward and bring development to this country for every single Guyanese.”
