MP’s son shot during robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – nine – year old Abdalla Hamilton, son of Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) Member of Parliament Joseph Hamilton, was on Friday, September 20 shot during a robbery outside the High Court, Georgetown.

According to the police, Hamilton was sitting in a motor vehicle parked on Charlotte Street at about 13:00hrs, when he was held up by a man armed with a handgun.

The perpetrator shot the 29 – year – old to his left thigh and took away a bag containing $2 million before escaping on a motor cycle that driven by an accomplice. Hamilton has been admitted to the St Joseph Mercy Hospital for medical treatment, he is believed to be in a stable condition.
