A motorist is nursing injuries after he reportedly collided with a lorry in the vicinity of Distribution Services Limited (DSL) at Ruimveldt Georgetown, on Wednesday.
Harilall (only name), 48, of Lot 62 6th Street, BB Eccles, East Bank Demerara, suffered lacerations to the head, legs and arms. He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was treated and sent away.
According to information received, the man was heading to Georgetown and in the vicinity of DSL, he collided with the lorry that was about to turn at the intersection. As a result, Harilall ended up under the truck. He was assisted by public spirited citizens and rushed to the hospital. Michael Harilall, son of the injured man, told INews that he was at work when he received a telephone call about the accident and immediately rushed to the scene.
