[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – eight – year – old Rick Persaud of Crown Dam, Cummings Lodge, died yesterday after he allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the verandah of his home.
iNews understands that the incident occurred at approximately 16:00 hours yesterday. He was found dead by a relative, shortly after he allegedly jumped.
One of his neighbours related that she saw him walking in the yard before going upstairs and jumping off the verandah.
The neighbour further explained that Persaud is known to consume lots of alcohol on a daily basis in addition to “smoking nuff nuff”.
Reports indicate that he was not married, nor does he have any children. The reason for his actions is not yet known.
