Mocha Arcadia construction worker busted with ganja at 45 Miles

The ganja found in the haversack of the suspect

A 26-year-old construction worker from Mocha Arcadia Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was intercepted on Tuesday with a quantity of ganja at 45 Miles, Potaro Road, Essequibo River. He was reportedly a backseat passenger of a motor car that was intercepted by the police.

However, a search conducted on a black haversack he was carrying led to the discovery of a large transparent Ziplock bag containing a quantity of cannabis, along with seven small Ziplock bags, also containing a quantity of ganja.

The suspect was arrested and escorted to the Issano Police Station, where the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 339.5 grams. The construction worker remains in custody pending further investigations and charges.
