Keith Wiggins of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown appeared in Court today and pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault and threatening behaviour allegedly committed against his common law wife Michelle Mentore.
The court heard that on August 2, the accused assaulted and threatened the woman. According to the police prosecutor, the man went home and saw the woman lying on the ground sleeping and choked her after which he attacked her with a knife. The Magistrate remanded the accused until September 06. [Royan Abrams]
