Shamer Moore of Agricola Public Road made his first court appearance before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with simple larceny.
The allegation stated that on August 2 at Agricola Public Road, East Bank Demerara the accused attacked and robbed Usinnie Singh of several articles totaling $135,000.
Police prosecutor Vishnu Hunt objected to bail based on the penalty attached to the offence and the fact that the accused was found with the stolen items on his possession. The Magistrate remanded Moore until September 06. [Royan Abrams]
