The suspects went on to relieve the family of a total of GY$315,000 in cash and two Samsung Galaxy cellular phones before making good their escape on foot.
The injured man was subsequently escorted to seek medical attention.
Acting on information received, Police arrested a 19-year-old construction worker, also of Goed Fortuin, in connection with the robbery.
The suspect remains in Police custody as investigations continue.
