Guyana hoping to access WB loan to help build capacity in oil and gas sector

Guyana is expecting to access an advance on a US$20M World Bank loan to build capacity in the oil and gas industry.

According to a brief report from the Department of Public Information (DPI), Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman, today, said the government is pushing to receive the initial advance of US$1.7M, by June.

The loan will be used to build the oil and gas capacity in three important areas Minister Trotman explained. (Inews will provide more details later)
