See full statement from the Guyana Police Force:

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has observed with serious concern several online statements asserting that the Force has been directed to discontinue all tint-related enforcement exercises.

The GPF categorically refutes these claims, as no such directive has been issued at any level of command.

Regional Commanders are hereby reminded that all members of the public are required to comply with the Laws of Guyana, including the extraction and regulation of motor-vehicle window tint as prescribed under the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act.

Ranks are expected to continue enforcing all relevant statutory provisions in accordance with established operational protocols.

These unfounded publications constitute a clear act of public mischief and bear the potential to mislead right-thinking citizens, erode public confidence and distract from the lawful mandate of the Force.

The GPF cautions members of the public against circulating unverified information which may compromise public order or impede legitimate law-enforcement operations and encourages citizens to rely exclusively on official communication channels for accurate information.
