Duo accused of stealing car granted $200,000 bail

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men charged with stealing a Toyota Primo motorcar, were released on $200,000 bail each by Magistrate Alex Moore.

Twenty-seven-year-old Linden Hodge of Lot 06 Cross Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, and 26 – year – old Travis Nichols of Lot 06 Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara, both pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court heard that on August 23, 2015 at Georgetown, being together and armed with a gun, they robbed Mervin Persaud of one motorcar, valued $2M and a blackberry cellular phone.

The prosecution did not reveal further information and the matter was adjourned to October 13, 2015.
