According to the accused, his cousin Carl Mathison Jr. assaulted him and he sought to defend himself and in the process he assaulted Carl Mathison Snr.

Police Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt objected to bail on the grounds that the accused provided the Court with two different addresses and the fact that the accused and the virtual complainants are related, the likelihood exist that he may interfere with the complainants.

The Magistrate refused bail and Towafa Mathison will make his next court appearance on August 9.[Royan Abrams]
