A musician was bailed in the sum of $35,000 on Wednesday when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before Magistrate Fabayo Azore charged for having 9 grams of cannabis in his possession.
Dwayne McFarlane, 23, of Lot 6 Camp Street, Werk-en-Rust denied the allegation put to him.
It is alleged that he had the illegal substance in his possession on May 19, 2018 at the Aubrey Barker, Road for the purpose of trafficking.
According to the man, he was searched by ranks but nothing was found on him and as such he is unclear how the charge against him came to be.
He is expected to return to Court on June 25, 2018.
