Two persons have died following a boat accident in the Essequibo River on Sunday night.
The boat mishap occurred at around 21:30hrs in the vicinity of ‘Tuh Tuh’ Island Point.
Initial reports indicate that eight persons were onboard the wooden vessel which bore the marking “Orvin & Sons’.
Five persons were taken to the hospital while two were reported missing but their bodies were recovered today.
