Quick response by the Police today resulted in two bandits being apprehended in the East La Penitence vicinity, just a while after they succeeded in robbing an accountant of $2.5M in cash.
According to Police “A” Division Commander, Clifton Hicken, they received a tip off from a public spirited person and as such gave chase. The bandits, who are yet to be identified, were making their escape on a CG Motorcycle.
However, upon realizing that the Police were closing in, they tossed the loot and their firearm in a nearby trench. The money has since been found and ranks are still looking for the weapon.
The two suspects reportedly trailed the accountant- who is attached to Tower Hotel Suites- as he was leaving a city bank, they grabbed his bag.
