[www.inewsguyana.com] – In what is now the second reported fatal accident for the day, an unidentified woman has lost her life.
At about 14:00hrs on Tuesday (December 24) a bus belonging to the National Library and a car collided on the corner of North Road and Chanderpaul Drive.
The driver of the bus also suffered a broken leg and was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car which plunged into a nearby trench along with another occupant of the vehicle were taken into police custody.
An investigation is underway.
