[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating the murder of 43 – year – old Percival Williams of Hague, West Coast Demerara, which occurred at about 19:00hrs on Saturday (December 21) at the Parika Stelling, East Bank Essequibo.
According to police, initial investigations have so far revealed that Williams and a woman had an argument over GYD $1,000 which she had allegedly given to him to purchase a meal for her.
It is believed Williams converted the money to his own use.
During the argument he was stabbed to his chest by the woman and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Leonora Cottage Hospital.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with investigations.
