T&T mother-of-eight goes to jail: Charged with child cruelty

(Trinidad Express) The mother arrested after a video was posted on social media showing a woman abusing an infant boy, appeared in court on Tuesday.

Mother of eight Beverly David was taken before a Sangre Grande Magistrate charged with cruelty of a minor according to the Children’s Act.

David was granted bail of $100,000. However, she remained in custody because she was unable to secure bail.

As a result, David was remanded in prison custody and will reappear on July 18.
