[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police conducted a drug eradication operation at the La Harmonie Backdam, Demerara River yesterday, Thursday, September 04, during which a field of cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants that was under cultivation was found and destroyed.

According to the police, the field was about three acres in size with about 3,000 plants ranging in height from four to seven feet. No one was arrested.

  1. these plants suck a lot of water daily.
    Large pumps need to be employed to pump a good amout of water to these farms.
    It is no wonder Amailia Falls water run dry!
