Students should not be encouraged to sit more than 10 subjects – Internet poll

0

pieThe issue of students sitting more than 10 subjects at CSEC has been attracting much discussion.

This became more topical after an Essequibian student this year wrote 20 subjects and was awarded grade one for18 of them. iNews’ weekly poll found that an overwhelming majority of those who voted were against teachers and parents encouraging students to take more than 10 subjects at CSEC.

According to the poll, 60 percent said no, while 37 voted yes. Three percent of those who voted were undecided.

Students, once shown the capacity, are free to sit as many subjects they wish at CSEC. There is no policy of restricting the amount of subjects students can sit at CSEC.
