[www.inewsguyana.com] – At approximately 20:15 hours last night (Thursday June 5) a Guyana registered ship encountered difficulties while entering the Berbice River.
It is currently aground outside of the main ships’ channel at the entrance to the River. All of the crew members have been taken off, while officials from the Maritime Administration Department are monitoring the situation and working with the owner for the safe recovery of the vessel.
An investigation into this incident is already underway.
