Security guard robbed by armed bandits at Albouystown

A 26-year-old female security guard was during the wee hours of today robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a gun.

The incident occurred at the corners of Cooper Street and Punt Trench, Albouystown, Georgetown.

The woman was robbed of a phone valued $40,000; a haversack valued $25,000; and $10,000 in cash.

Reports are that the woman was walking home when she passed the perpetrators sitting along the road.

As she approached the Cooper Street corner, the two perpetrators confronted her from behind.

The armed perpetrator pointed the gun at her while the other perpetrator took away her valuables.

They then made good their escape north along Cooper Street.

Investigations are underway.
