A 20-year-old Ruimveldt, Georgetown resident is presently in police custody after an unlicensed pistol was found on his person early this (Monday) morning.
Based on information received, ranks acting on information, intercepted a hire car in which the suspect was travelling in at around 05:00hrs today.
After a search was conducted, a Taurus pistol along with 14 matching rounds was discovered, according to Police Public Relations’ Officer, Jairam Ramlakhan.
