Police Inspector under close arrest following discovery of ammo at Hadfield Street

The Guyana Police Force’s Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of ammunition during an intelligence-led operation conducted at Hadfield Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown on Thursday May 7, 2026 about 10:00hrs.

A Police Inspector is presently under close arrest as the investigation continues.
