Penalty kicks decide quarter finals for Guinness futsal tournament

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three quarterfinal games ended by penalty kicks on Sunday when the Guinness “Greatness in the Streets” continued at Demerara Park.

North Ruimveldt won 1-0 against Globe Yard, Leopold Street topped West Front Road 4-3 and Festival City Warriors defeated Cross Street 2-1 all by the way of penalty kicks as none of the six teams were able to score goals in regulation time.

Meanwhile, the only team to score in regulation time was Sparta Boss who defeated Albouystown B 2-0 in the final game of the evening.

The semi – final of the tournament will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at the National Culture Centre Tarmac.
