0

Growing up in Timehri North, East Bank Demerara (EBD), Neron Barrow knows what sacrifice feels like.

As a boy, he would travel from Timehri to Georgetown just to train and play football. The long road became his first training ground.

Today, Barrow is a center forward for Guyana Police Force Football Club in the Elite League and now, he has climbed even higher.

In June 2025, he made his senior international debut for Guyana, stepping onto the pitch in a World Cup Qualifier against Montserrat. For every young footballer in Timehri, his story is proof that dreams can cross borders.

Favourite Club: Bayern Munich

Favourite Footballer: Robert Lewandowski

Biggest Influence: Coach Wayne Dover

Known for his strength, work rate, and ability to finish under pressure, Barrow has quickly built a reputation as one of the Elite League’s most determined young forwards. His journey is no fairy tale, it’s the product of grit, long trips, and endless belief.

When asked about his path, Barrow doesn’t complicate it: “Stay positive, stay focused.” (Elite League)
