[www.inewsguyana.com] – An Investigation has being launched into the fatal accident of 22 – year – old Edward Sears of Belleview, West Coast Berbice who was killed last evening on the Bush Lot Public road.
According to the police, at about 19:00 hours last night, Saturday October 18, Sears was riding his motorcycle when he attempted to overtake a motor vehicle and was struck down by an oncoming motor car.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington Hospital.
The driver of the motor car was tested and found to be over the legal limit in relation to the consumption of alcohol, according to the police. He is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
