[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 47 – year – old mechanic was placed on $125,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry after pleading not guilty to a wounding charge.
The Court heard that Claude Couchman of Lot 442 Kaneville Grove, East Bank Demerara on Sunday, May 25 at Winipuru Backdam, Kanwaru River, unlawfully and maliciously wounded Roger Gonsalves, with intent to maim disfigure or cause him harm.
Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru did not reveal the prosecution facts. Bail was granted and the matter was transferred to Mahdia Magistrate’s Court for July 13.
