Former parliamentarian and government minister, Manzoor Nadir has been elected Speaker of the National Assembly to serve in the 12th Parliament.
Nadir served as Member of Parliament for five terms, first being elected in 1992 as the then leader of The United Force Political Party.
Nadir is an economist by profession and later served in the Cabinet of the then PPP/C government as Minister of Labour and Tourism.
