
[www.inewsguyana.com] – Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara resident, Orin Jerrick was today committed to stand trial at the High Court for the murder of a minibus driver at the Plaisance Bus Park.
Magistrate Judy Latchman ruled that there is sufficient evidence and a prima facie case has been established against Jerrick, who is accused of killing Gavin Fifee on July 31, 2014.
He was represented by Attorneys – at – law, Peter Hugh and Pamela DeSantos, while the Preliminary Inquiry was led by Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt.
According to reports, about 5:45hrs on the day in question, Fiffee was at his minibus at the Plaisance Bus Park when he objected to Jerrick urinating on his bus; an argument ensued and Jerrick allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Fiffee on his right side chest.
He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
