[www.inewsguyana.com] – Kenrick Light was yesterday remanded to prison on a murder charge.
He was not required to plead to the indictable offence which alleged that between July 9 and 13 at Goate Creek, in the Essequibo Magisterial District, he murdered Osman Fiedtkou.
The accused complained to the Chief Magistrate that he cannot read and write and asked the Police to wait until his lawyer arrives before any statements are given to him.
The matter was transferred to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court for July 30.
